Why will I get my book and rewards only on July 2018?
All information used in Simple Happy Kitchen undergoes a thorough check by a certified nutrition specialist and a content editor. The book will include about 120 pages, so gathering the information, rewriting everything to make sure it’s easy to understand, backing it up with sources, illustrating and designing everything, and so much more – is gonna take time. Taking into account printing and manufacturing, shipping time, etc., I believe I’ll need 6-7 months for creating the book, including some buffer time for anything unexpected that might happen. Wish I could deliver earlier, but when it comes to my beloved backers, I want to commit to something I’m absolutely sure I can deliver, without disappointing anyone.
I’ve spent so much money, time and effort on making sure my project will turn out to be super exciting, interesting, educating, and with the highest quality possible, and I’m absolutely sure it’ll be worth the wait. I appreciate your patience <3

What’s the deal with the PDFs? What’s a PDF anyways?
A PDF is a digital file format capable of showing both text and visuals.
All pledge levels come with at least 1 PDF – 3 illustrated recipes you can print at home or just keep on your desktop for future reference.
A PDF version of the book will also be included with all pledges with a hardcover book.
The “E-PACK” contains 2 more PDFs: a digital version of the book in a screen-ready resolution you can reference on your desktop/mobile anytime, and a digital version of the coloring book, which is exclusive for Kickstarter backers. You’ll be able to print the coloring book as many times as you can and, ummmm, color them as many times as you can. Make sure you have enough crayons!

Can I choose the same doll?
Of course. In the survey, you can choose your rewards (as many as included in your pledge), so in case for some reason you need 6 almond and 2 tomato plush dolls, you’ll be able to choose them there. Ha!

Who’s behind this project?
The team behind Simple Happy Kitchen is highly experienced with designing, printing, manufacturing and fulfilling shipments worldwide. The entrepreneur behind this project is Miki Mottes, an experienced illustrator and long-time vegan. Joined him are Ziv Meltzer, designer and product manager, Tal Porat, a certified nutritionist, Neta Dror, marketing specialist, and other wonderful people.

Is the Simple Happy Kitchen book suitable for kids?
The book is absolutely suitable for kids, and so are most of the rewards! The Simple Happy Kitchen book itself will contain about 120 pages with text and graphics that’ll be suitable for kids of all ages. If some specific pages will not be suitable for kids, we’ll try to clearly mark them as such. We do our best to use as little written words as possible, to make my book easy-to-understand to as many people as we can – we prefer language not to be a barrier, so yeah, even the content itself will be fun for kids!

Where do you take the info from? What do you base your illustrations on?
We’re not doctors or a nutrition specialist. Miki uses his skills as a professional illustrator with years of experience to take facts from research and make them accessible and easy-to-understand for everyone. He works with the certified nutritionist, BSc Tal Porat as a professional clinical dietitian, as well as other experts, to make sure all information is factual and accurate. The book will include all sources used, either in the book itself or online, so you’ll be able to see what we base the content on.

Will the book be English only? What about other languages?
We do our best to use as little written words as possible, to make the book easy-to-understand to as many people as possible – so that language is not a barrier. So yeah, the book will be English only, but most people of most countries will find it easy to understand :-)

Why is shipping to Germany expensive if Simple Happy Kitchen is based in Germany?
Though the team is based in Germany and other locations around the world, shipping will not necessarily be done from Germany, in order to keep shipping cost as low as we can, for as many backers around the world as we can.

What are the book dimensions?
The book will be approximately 8.5” x 11”, which is more or less 24 times the height of an average chickpea.

Can I have different items shipped to a different address than mine?
As long as all the items collected in your pledge are sent to the same address, you can choose any shipping address you want. We won’t be able to ship some items to one address and some to another, as all items will have to be sent to the same address.

I prefer to get a book without the perforation. Is it possible?
Sure thing! We planned the book to include some of the pages perforated so you can use them as posters. If you prefer to have the book without the pages perforated, that’s indeed possible. During the survey, you can choose whether you want some of the pages perforated or not.

What about shipping cost?
I checked shipping cost from quite a few locations in the world to make sure cost to our backers is as cheap is possible – our goal is to make Simple Happy Kitchen as accessible to anyone as we can. To keep costs down for you lovely backers, we may split some shipments to 2 different packages. But don’t worry! Once ready, shipping will be super fast, and as cheap as possible.
Please note: as is always the case with online shopping, you may be asked to pay VAT and customs on top of shipping. These payments are our of our control, and I strongly advise you to check for possible extra payments before pledging.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
